Our story
Arete Dental Studio was founded by Dr Ava Rahemi and Dr Rhys Dawson — two clinicians with a shared vision of delivering dental care that combines clinical precision with a warm, personal approach. The name "Arete" comes from the ancient Greek concept of excellence and virtue in all pursuits.
Located on Racecourse Road in Ascot, our boutique clinic is designed to feel different from a typical dental practice. Every detail — from the calm, modern interior to the advanced technology we use — is chosen to ensure your comfort and the quality of your care. We take the time to listen, explain and involve you in decisions about your treatment.
We serve patients from across Brisbane's inner north including Hamilton, Hendra, Clayfield, Eagle Farm and Fortitude Valley.

Dr Michael attends the practice monthly, bringing advanced expertise and a clinical focus on dental implants and oral surgery. He works closely with the Arete team to plan and place implants with 3D-guided precision.

Our technology
Arete Dental Studio is equipped with technology that enhances diagnostic accuracy, treatment precision and patient comfort. Our clinic features 3D digital scanning (Medit), CEREC same-day crown milling, digital X-rays with low radiation, intraoral cameras for real-time visuals, and Digital Smile Design software for cosmetic planning.
This technology allows us to offer services typically found in larger multi-practice clinics — such as 3D-guided implant placement, same-day CEREC crowns and digital smile previews — all in a local, boutique setting on Racecourse Road.

Arete Dental Studio is located at 2A, 111 Racecourse Road, Ascot QLD 4007. We are centrally positioned in Brisbane's inner north, convenient for patients from Hamilton, Hendra, Clayfield, Eagle Farm, Fortitude Valley and surrounding suburbs.
Free street parking is available on Racecourse Road directly outside the clinic. The clinic is accessible by train (Doomben and Ascot stations) and bus routes along Racecourse Road and Kingsford Smith Drive. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
We invite you to a complimentary in-clinic Smile Consultation. This exclusive opportunity allows you to speak directly with a doctor and receive a brief examination to broadly discuss price ranges and suitability for treatments.
